what is the fear that overwhelms you?

#oh man i wish someone would talk about the cinematography of these three scenes#bc they’re all super wide shots with super dark lighting#and the main focal point of light is clara who appears small and often stunted in the middle#and i have a feeling that shots like these are supposed to make think that clara looks helpless or lost#like she’s all alone and probably scared and maybe even overwhelmed#BUT#BUUUUUT#the colouring isn’t JUST black#there’s also red that clara’s either wearing or walking on#and red symbolizes power and passion and strength#these scenes feel like clara’s put into a scenario where she should be drowning#but instead of just laying down and playing dead#she’s fighting - she’s strong#it’s dark and she’s alone but she’s not powerless#and i really like that tbh#though i know NOTHING about cinematography and all the colour symbolism facts i remember is from like the great gatsby in high school six/seven yrs ago#sooooooo i could just be wishful thinking all of this#or it could just be accidental#or whatever i don’t know#but idk man a+ to the director/producer/wardrobe/camera man/person who edits the episodes#even if it doesn’t mean what i think it means you all did solid work in my head (via winterinthetardis)

So, I was in the middle of searching for how long Keke Palmer will be on Broadway as Cinderella. Gotta get my ticket. I scrolled down and saw this first comment:

The reach with this one disneyfied ass tale. They, however, have no problem whitewashing different races and ethnicities and see our disdain as sensitive and “reverse racist.” Case in point: Exodus - God and Kings, the new British-American biblical movie set in Egypt, that has caused uproar and boycotts:
